Free from launches that changed our lives

 The last few years have certainly had a lot to offer in terms of vegan and free from food. 2021, however, has been outstanding. The variety available compared to this time last year is fantastic and it seems like there just isn’t time to try it all! However, we’re valiantly giving it a go. In the meantime, we’ve put together a list of 5 2021 releases that have been total game-changers.

Pasta is such an amazing comfort food, especially ravioli. For gluten-free people, this is such a treat. Gluten-free ready meals used to be unheard of, particularly with pasta. We can’t wait to get our chops around these gluten-free ravioli parcels, stuffed with roasted aubergine, zingy sundried tomatoes and a dairy alternative filling. Best of all, this only takes 3 minutes to cook so is great for both lunch and dinner.

 

3. Vegan Magnum sea salt and caramel ice creams

Ice cream is almost always made of, well, cream and it’s sometimes hard to be 100% sure whether it contains gluten or not. The wonderful people at Magnum came to our rescue a few years ago with the totally amazing vegan and gluten-free version of their original ice cream. However, they really upped their game this year with a new sea salt and caramel ice cream. You know when you get invited to dinner and the host says ‘bring dessert’? We take a couple of boxes of these. Yummy.

 

4. CraKd The NO Egg Egg

Have you spent the last X number of years getting in a tizz over flax seed mix? Have you, on more than one occasion, excitedly pulled your Yorkshire puddings from the oven only to find that they’re more like flat muffins?

 

CraKd No Egg Egg is here to help all of us Bake Off wannabes. Of all the egg alternatives, this one seems to have cracked it (see what we did there?). This is going to be a staple in the kitchen over Christmas.
