At Moo Free, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy delicious chocolate with confidence. That’s why we’re proud to be introducing our “Free From UK Top 14 Allergens” logo across Moo Free packaging.
The new logo gives our customers clear, additional reassurance when choosing their favourite Moo Free treats they can trust. Products displaying the logo have been produced during a period in which our allergen management programme included testing for the UK’s top 14 allergens.
What does the new logo mean?
Managing allergens safely is something we take incredibly seriously.
Our allergen management programme includes extensive risk assessments and testing across our raw materials, manufacturing environment and finished products. This helps us maintain the high standards that families and customers with food allergies expect from Moo Free.
Products displaying our “Free From UK Top 14 Allergens” logo have been produced during our verified allergen testing period, providing additional reassurance that our allergen controls are working effectively.
An important update on nuts
We’re especially proud that our updated packaging will allow us to communicate our nut free status more clearly.
We have not used nuts in our ingredients or production areas since April 2021. However, until now, we have not made an official nut free claim on our packaging because we were not carrying out the specific testing required to support that statement.
That has now changed.
Products displaying our “Free From UK Top 14 Allergens” logo, alongside nut free allergy advice on pack, have been produced during our verified allergen testing period, which includes testing for nuts.
When we say nut free, we mean that nuts, including tree nuts and peanuts, are strictly prohibited across our entire site. This doesn't just apply to our production areas: nut and nut-containing products are not permitted anywhere on site, including our offices and canteen.
You may notice different packaging for a little while
As we introduce our new packaging, there will naturally be a transition period. This means you may still find some Moo Free products in our previous packaging without the new “Free From UK Top 14 Allergens” logo.
We always recommend checking the information on the individual product packaging when making choices based on a food allergy.
